2021 Summer Academy and Amateur Tournament Operator Announcement

All you need to know about the Academy & Amateur schedules for Summer 2021

Summer is fast approaching, which means a new season of LCS Academy and Amateur is right around the corner. In [April][1] we published the Summer LCS Academy and Amateur schedule, including some improvements we’ve made since the spring format reboot. Today we’re excited to unveil our tournament operators and partners for summer, and some key dates to keep on your radar. This season they're kicking off the Proving Grounds Circuit for summer split with a 16 team round robin event into single elimination playoffs. Unified had previously operated the first Spring 2021 LCS Proving Grounds Tier 1 tournament as well as broadcasted the 2021 College Championship Round of 32 and 16. As a premier tournament operator they have had a long-standing presence in the amateur and collegiate esports scenes respectively, with competitions such as the UPL and Midwest Esports Conference.
