online afterparty featuring Y2K and The Sushi Dragon
- Introduce (or welcome back) three teams to the LCS family including
Dignitas, Evil Geniuses and Immortals Bring the entire LCS broadcast
production into a fully remote, online setup in a week
- Continue the co-streaming pilot and broadcast the LCS Playoffs on
ESPN2
- Launch new broadcast shows including Monday Night League and Academy
Rush
- Welcome new partners into the LCS including Bud Light, GreenPark
Sports and Huya. We saw existing partners level up their activations
with Alienware powering the LCS Arcade, Honda’s MVP wall wrap,
Mastercard and the Player of the Week, and returned support from Red
Bull, Secret Lab, and State Farm.
We couldn’t have done any of this without the support of our teams, partners, and fans. Thank you for supporting and cheering us on, whether it’s from the LCS Studios or at home.
With the cancellation of MSI, we’ll be moving the Summer Split start date to **Saturday, June 13** with Academy returning on Friday, June 12. We’ll also be moving the LCS games on Saturday and Sunday to a new start time of 1:00 PM PT. Saturday and Sunday will continue to host 4 LCS games each, and Monday will host 2 LCS games starting at 5:00 PM PT.
The split will kick off with a Spring Finals rematch between Cloud9 vs. FlyQuest at the new start time of 1:00 PM PT. We’ll release more details about what to expect for the Academy schedule in the coming weeks.
We’ll continue to follow the local and state guidelines around COVID-19 to determine when it’s safe to return to the LCS Studios. If we’re unable to return to the LCS Studios for the start of the LCS Summer Split, we’ll continue to have the games take place online.
We look forward to bringing back the action of the LCS and Academy in mid-June.
