Event Phases
Two teams from LCK, LCS, LCP, LEC, and LPL and one team from CBLOL (11 total) participate in MSI. The 1st seed of each region and 2nd seed of the winning region of First Stand will get a bye into the Bracket Stage, while the other 4 teams will start from Play-In.
Play-Ins
Play-In will be a four team best of 5 double elimination bracket, qualifying one team into the Bracket Stage.
Playoffs
The 8 teams in Bracket Stage play a best of 5 double elimination bracket. The winner of MSI qualifies for Worlds and the 2nd place region gets an additional seed for its domestic league at Worlds.
