2021 in Review: The Best Junglers in the LEC

We're taking a look back at the LEC in 2021. More specifically, we'll be looking at the Junglers, discussing who performed the best and what made them stand out amongst the rest.

The jungle role has a huge influence on the map throughout the game, being the main player to secure important objectives and aiding in getting the botlaners to their power spikes safely – yet they rarely get their due praise. Well today, we are going to discuss the top junglers in the LEC for the 2021 seasons. **Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau – Fnatic**
Bwipo made an impact with his role swap
Our first player is one who swapped from the top lane to the jungle role in the Summer. Bwipo became a top competitor in the jungle position exceptionally fast. With him in the jungle, Fnatic managed to finish the Summer Playoffs in second and move on to the League of Legends World Championship. Bwipo's signature pick throughout the split was his Viego achieving an 83 percent win rate across the Summer Regular Season with six games played on the champion, picking up 24 kills as he did so. Some other honorable mentions are his Rumble, Karthus, and Xin Zhao. Bwipo won't be a part of the LEC next year as he moves over to North America's League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) with new squad Team Liquid, and the European league won't be the same without him. **Kacper "Inspired" Słoma – Rogue**
Kacper "Inspired" Słoma impressed this year with his wide champion pool – we'll be sad to see him leave the LEC in 2022.
Quite possibly the strongest showing of the year, Inspired performed incredibly well throughout the year of 2021. Inspired, with his team Rogue, made it all the way to Worlds this year, showing how successful both he and the roster were. His most played and arguably most successful champion pick was Lillia, boasting a 67 percent win rate with a strong 5.7 KDA across the entirety of 2021. Inspired has too many strong picks to mention here, so some honorable mentions are his Nidalee, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Udyr, and his pocket pick Fiddlesticks, all of which he had a positive win rate on. He also achieved the second most kills of the year during Spring, with 13 on Graves against Fnatic in their Week 8 clash. Inspired will similarly be leaving the LEC for the LCS next year, joining Evil Geniuses – a clear sign that our junglers are highly-rated around the world, though another big loss to the LEC. We wish Inspired the best of luck with his new team! **Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz – Misfits Gaming**
Misfits made a showing with Razork in the jungle.
Razork had a strong showing this year overall. He stood out as an exceptional player to watch for everyone, even though his team didn't find the greatest of success in 2021. Standing out on a mid-standings team can be hard, but Razork managed to catch the eye of not only the fans but the teams within the LEC too. Razork is known for being an amazing Lee Sin player, and the stats don't lie on this one. Having a near 63 percent win rate and 25 kills across the year with Lee Sin, it's easy to see why most teams will ban the champion when playing against him. Another standout pick is his Rumble, with whom he achieved a 100 percent win rate across three games with a mind blowing 23 KDA. This performance didn't go unnoticed, and Razork is now set to play for Fnatic next year. With such a strong team around him, we're sure he will continue his trend of success in the coming year. **Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski – G2 Esports**
Jankos’ champion pool has no signs of shrinking.
If you've been around the LEC or league sphere for any amount of time, you've more than likely heard of Jankos. He has been a star player in the LEC for years, and this year was no exception. G2 as a whole have called 2021 a bit of a failure in terms of performance, but despite that, Jankos still managed to stand out as one of the strongest players in the role. He's demonstrated incredible skill on a range of champions, which comes from years playing at the highest level of LoL esports. Take his Lee Sin, who he achieved a 71 percent win rate on – with an impressive 6.7 KDA to boot. Or his Olaf, with a 83 percent win rate tied to a 4.0 KDA and who he used to score 12 kills against Fnatic in their Week 6 match – the third highest kills in a single game of the year. It's safe to say that G2's unsuccessful year isn't evident within Jankos' stats. Some more honorable mentions are his Xin Zhao, Nidalee, and Graves. We're sure Jankos and G2 with their fresh roster will be in top shape for 2022. The LEC returns on 14 January 2022 – be sure to tune in on lolesports.com to catch all the action as it happens!
