LEC Awards Update: The Changes Coming To The LEC Awards 2022

We’re shaking up the LEC Awards in 2022 with the introduction of the Kia Finals MVP, ensuring we acknowledge every achievement in the league, in the best way possible

Last year's LEC Awards were given a bit of a [shakeup][1], changing the way we judged and split the categories. After some consideration we have decided to change things up once more – bringing us ever closer to better highlighting the best European League of Legends talent. In 2021, the **All-Pro Award** was switched to a Community Award, which was voted on by you, the public. We have since listened to fan feedback on this matter and have decided to revert it back to an expert voted award, with a roundtable of LoL experts, pundits, and professionals deciding on a worthy winner. Other expert awards will also remain, highlighting the top **Rookie of the Season** and **Coaching Team of the Season**. We are also introducing a new expert award, the **Kia Finals MVP**. We’re highlighting Europe’s finest during the all-important conclusion to the Split, also voted by a roundtable of experts. With the introduction of the Kia Finals MVP award, we will now be able to distinguish between a Regular Season MVP and the best performer in the LEC Finals, rewarding both for their achievements in two separate awards. We're already partway through the current season, but there's still plenty of time for the players and teams to impress with risky plays and incredible comebacks.
