Cosplay at the LEC XPO in Munich: Embody your favorite Champions!

Tick, tick, tick… The 2024 LEC Season Finals roadshow in Munich is right around the corner, and so is our Kia Cosplay event at the LEC XPO! This year, we’re once again going to offer fans and visitors two days of cosplay competition, showcasing the best cosplayers in the scene.. Embodying your favorite Champion and performing on stage? Or joining the crowd and cheering on the cosplayers that will enchant the KIA Community Stage at the LEC XPO? You decide what it will be for you!

Remember: cosplay does not equal consent! We expect fans to treat cosplayers with the utmost respect, and we will have staff on-hand to help if anyone encounters any inappropriate behavior towards cosplayers or LEC fans.

KIA Cosplay Contest - Saturday, August 31 at 2.30pm CEST

Cosplayers, assemble! Our partner KIA is putting on a show you don’t want to miss. Sew together your most beautiful piece of fabrics, shape your most impressive gears, do your best League Champions’ impression on stage and get a chance to share the 9,000€ cash prize pool.

• 1st: 4,000€

• 2nd: 2,000€

• 3rd: 1,500€

• Jurys choice award: 1,500€

This year, our winner will even get the chance to be flown out to the League of Legends World Championship Finals in London on Saturday, November 2!

Similarly to last year, pre-selection will be held online, with all participants invited to submit their best cosplay pictures via this signup form ahead of the closing date of August 17, 11:59pm CEST. Photos should display the costume with no alterations and in as much detail as possible, and all costumes must be self-made to be considered. Cosplayers also can’t submit a costume also that has already won a major cosplay contest - including any Worlds Cosplay Summit (WCS), Extreme Cosplay Gathering (ECG), and National Cosplay Contests such as Deutsche Cosplay Meisterschaft (DCM)

Our jury will then pick up the best cosplays and decide who’ll be attending the big final on-stage at the LEC XPO, with entrants confirmed by August 20. Our finalists will have their entry guaranteed for the whole LEC Season Finals, on August 31st & Sept 1st allowing them to enjoy the LEC action at the Olympiahalle with a helper or friend. Attention participating Cosplayers, keep your eyes peeled for your special ride from the XPO to the Arena provided by KIA - more details will be shared with participants soon.

And now, it’s time to shine! Facing a jury of three and the cheering crowd, each entrant will have 1.5 minutes to charm the audience with both their crafting and acting skills, wearing their most beautiful costume and impersonating some iconic members of the League of Legends universe. Jury members will be announced as we get closer to the event: keep an eye on our socials for more information!

Cosplay Catwalk - Sunday, September 1 at 2pm CEST

Wait a minute… we’re not done yet! Our Cosplay Catwalk strikes back: praise our cosplayers talent on the KIA Community Stage at the LEC XPO. No need to be a confirmed, prize-winning, professional cosplayer to be part of the moment; everyone can participate! Put on your costume, grab your accessories and fiercely enter the stage, strolling like the model you are to the sound of applause and cheering fans.

Participants will need to arrive at the Community Stage by 2:00 pm CEST, where you’ll be queued in signup order. From 2:30 pm CEST onwards, our host will begin calling participants to come to the stage, so all you’ll need to do is head out on stage and pose!

Fear of missing out? We got you covered! You can sign up here and secure a spot on the Cosplay Catwalk, with limited last-minute onsite sign ups available on the day. We’re eager to see what you showcase: Demacian mage, Void creature, rascal from Bilgewater, enchanting and furry friends from Bandle, or even Noxian warrior, our community creativity never disappoints!

August 31-September 1, 12pm CEST: Cosplay Meetups

Want to get the chance to take the best shot with our cosplayers? Meet at the LEC XPO entrance on Odeonsplatz and enjoy a colorful, creative encounter. LEC photographers will be on hand to capture your creations, with photos available to download from LoL Esports Flickr after the event.

Finally, 86th Floor is back again at the LEC XPO! Since our first collaboration 4 years ago at the 2019 LEC Summer Finals: Athens, 86th Floor has supported us in celebrating our communities incredible creativity and dedication to our universe through different music videos. This includes our 2021 LEC Spring Split Finals music video and our LEC 2023 Cosplay Video last year.

86th Floor is a team of cosplay content creators who’ll be present at both days of our Cosplay Meetups at the LEC XPO, capturing video footage. Take your chance to be featured in this year's LEC Season Finals Cosplay event music video!
