Now that LEC Versus has concluded, it’s time to look ahead. First Stand is just a week away, and then the 2026 LEC Spring Split kicks off in less than a month. We’re looking forward to building on what has already been an exhilarating start to the year!
With Roadtrips in both France and Spain, alongside the return of a fan-favourite format, Spring 2026 is shaping up to be a must-watch event. As teams set their sights on securing the two coveted MSI qualification spots, the race for the trophy is on. Here’s everything you need to know to follow the Spring Split action.
Format
We’re running back last year’s beloved format for another action-packed Spring Split.
With all multi-game series, teams will have the maximum amount of time to prepare for international competition and fans have even more entertainment to look forward to.
The regular season will be a single round robin across seven weeks of Best-of-Threes to decide our Playoff teams. The top six from the regular season will then compete in a bracket made up entirely of Best-of-Five series.

With the huge opportunity to compete at MSI in Daejeon, South Korea on the line, the Playoffs will be double elimination to ensure EMEA sends its very best.

Additionally, the First Selection ruleset introduced for all regional and global Lol Esports events from 2026 will also be in place for Spring. Teams that previously earned side selection will now receive First Selection instead, allowing them to choose either which side to play on (Blue or Red), or whether to pick first or second in the draft.
LEC Spring 2026 key dates

The LEC Spring Split gets underway on March 28.
This year, regular season match days will take place from Saturday to Monday at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. However, Mondays during the regular season will no longer include a live audience.
We want to be transparent as this is a change from previous years.
Monday shows have consistently seen lower in-arena attendance, while production costs remain the same regardless of ticket sales. When planning for 2026, we took a close look at what fans told us matters most to them. That’s why you’ve seen us add more matches with the new Summer Split format and increase the number of Roadtrips to five. But to make these improvements possible, we’ve had to make adjustments in other areas.
By prioritizing our investments this way, we can continue to grow and elevate the LEC with the experiences fans value most.
For the regular season, fans can expect two Best-of-Threes each day, starting at 17:00 local time (and don’t forget the clocks move forward on March 29). The exception is Saturdays during the first three weeks of the split, when we’ll run three series instead. On those days, the broadcast will begin earlier at 14:00 CEST.
After seven weeks of intense competition, the regular season will come to a close, followed by a two-week break to allow teams time to rest and prepare for the Playoffs.
Playoffs will start on May 23 at 17:00 CEST with gamedays from Saturday to Monday each week with one Best-of-Five each day. The lower bracket finals and MSI qualification decider will be on June 6 and the Split Finals will be on June 7.
LEC Roadtrips, Spring edition
Spring this year will also feature two Roadtrips, one in the Madrid Arena hosted by Movistar KOI and one in Les Arènes de Grand Paris Sud – Evry-Courcouronnes hosted by Karmine Corp.
Both Roadtrips will take place during regular season weekends, running Friday to Sunday in their respective venues. Three consecutive days for fans to gather together, cheer for their favourite team, and celebrate the game we all love.
More details and information will be shared very soon, stay tuned!
