I am Cacophonie, Head of League of Legends Esports for the Americas, and I am very excited to announce that [Shopify Rebellion][1] is joining the LCS in Season 2024 after acquiring the slot from TSM. With current rosters in other esports, including VALORANT teams playing in both Game Changers and Challengers in North America, they now begin their story in the LCS.
Shopify Rebellion was founded with the strong belief that human stories (told in-game and off-screen) are what make esports great; that the endless pursuit of mastery is done with wit, discipline and sportsmanship. By stepping into the LCS, Shopify is doubling down on their commitment to esports - it’s not just about participating, it’s about shaping its future, contributing to its growth, and ensuring its sustainability for generations. These values are very much aligned with Riot’s, and we are thrilled to welcome Shopify Rebellion to the community!
I would also like to take a moment to recognize TSM for having been a big part of League’s story over the years. They were truly pioneers in the League of Legends community, since beta (who remembers the All Or Nothing Clan?), and being part of the LCS since its inception. We thank TSM for the ride, wish them the best on their future adventures wherever that may take them, and look forward to potentially seeing them on the other side of the Worlds stage once they find their new home in League of Legends Esports!
