As we welcome in the New Year, we’re hyped for the action to kick off with the start of the 2024 LEC Winter Split. We’ve made some changes to how and where we’ll be broadcasting and want to give you a heads-up on the new ways you can join us and watch from home!
We’re welcoming [Naru][1] and [LynxCerez][2] to the team, and they’ll both be streaming the entirety of the 2024 LEC Season in Turkish. We’re also introducing [Tolkin][3] as our new German co-streamer. These three will be taking over as the main broadcasts for German and Turkish fans and co-streaming 100 percent of the LEC action on their respective channels, so be sure to check them out and tune in!
“We’re excited to welcome our new co-streamers to the LEC. Their inclusion, alongside our regional broadcast partners, will offer fans a different kind of viewing experience to enjoy while watching our showdays,” says Artem Bykov, LEC Commissioner. “Our goal is to create an engaging experience for LEC fans while also growing the fandom of the league, and this expansion is one way we’re achieving that.”
In addition to their own games, this year we’ll be allowing LEC teams to broadcast all matches of other teams that are critical for their advancement through the League and all of the Playoffs matches as long as the team is still in the competition. All co-streaming teams will also be allowed to broadcast the Split Final. When it comes to co-streaming, all approved co-streamers and team co-streamers will be able to use one of our two co-streaming booths that have been set up in the new and improved [Riot Games Arena][4].
These booths are a first for the LEC and will enable our co-streamers to bring the action even closer to their audience. Expect an elevated viewing experience as we look forward to how our co-streamers will use them creatively!
We are also stoked to welcome our respective regional broadcast partners back for the 2024 LEC Season. Our amazing partners will be broadcasting every week, from clutch Baron steals to Yasuo lock-ins, allowing fans across EMEA to easily tune in and keep up with the LEC in their respective languages.
