In 2021, we announced LCS Game Changers, a program focused on supporting women who wanted to further their professional careers in League of Legends esports. LCS Game Changers marked an important milestone in the continuing work by Riot Games and esports communities across North America to create a more diverse and inclusive professional ecosystem.
We’re proud of this strong first step, and are excited to reveal the roadmap for LCS Game Changers in 2022. This year, we’ve expanded the program to include more workshops and a trip to the League of Legends World Championship Finals in San Francisco. We hope these new experiences will broaden the impact of LCS Game Changers overall while providing participants with training and advice they can use to improve.
Beginning on May 20, LCS Game Changers will host a series of workshops led by industry experts. These virtual workshops will be open to 100 LCS Game Changers participants to take advantage of Q&A sessions and direct feedback. Eventually, these workshops will be posted in full on the LCS YouTube channel as resources for the wider community.

LCS Game Changers Capstone Event
--------------------------------
In addition to these workshops, LCS Game Changers will host an in-person competitive retreat at the Riot Games campus in Santa Monica, California. During this October bootcamp, 10 women will receive LCS-level training and mentorship as they experience the professional lifestyle firsthand. After the two-week experience has concluded, all participants will be flown to San Francisco, California to see the League of Legends World Championship Final.
The primary goal of LCS Game Changers remains the same as last year — leveling up an underserved group of League of Legends players. As such, we will continue to respect the privacy of our players by not broadcasting this event. We’ll reveal the application process and more details as we get closer to the date.
