It’s that time again – we’re gearing up for our 2023 LEC Season Finals in Montpellier, and getting ready to welcome fans to the Sud de France arena for an action-packed weekend of thrilling gameplay and fun-filled fan activations.
We’ve got so much to tell you about what’s in store at the 2023 LEC XPO, so let’s dive right in.
**General XPO Information:**
On September 9-10 from 10:00 CEST, we’ll be opening the doors of the Montpellier Exhibition Centre, located next to the Sud de France Arena, and inviting fans to join us at the LEC XPO, a celebration of all things League of Legends Esports in EMEA.
This year, you won’t need a ticket to enter the LEC XPO. Priority entry will go to ticket holders for the day’s matches at the LEC Arena, but after that entry is open to anyone. We recommend arriving early as space in the venue will fill up fast!
We’ve got an amazing host of activities lined up for fans at this year’s LEC XPO, with everything from a community art showcase, to event-exclusive merch stands, to food trucks from local chef Poca Guru. You can show your support for your team of choice at our LEC Fan Sign station or at our Face Paint and Temporary Tattoo booths, and assert your dominance at one of the 1v1 battle stations. Make sure you drop by and check out everything we’ve got in store for you!
We’ll also be providing plenty of opportunities for our community of LEC cosplayers to strut their stuff at the LEC XPO – including our KitKat Cosplay Contest, which promises to be the biggest League of Legends Cosplay Contest the LEC has ever seen. For full details of our slate of cosplay activities throughout the Season Finals weekend, please see our in-depth explainer [here][1].
We’re not ready to reveal everything we’ve got in store for you in Montpellier just yet, so keep an eye out on our socials for more reveals closer to the event – but for now, here’s a sneak peek at a few of the activations we’ll have on offer.
**Merch:**
From event shirts to streetwear, we’ll have a whole host of merch offerings available for purchase at the LEC XPO.
We’ll be joined by friends of the LEC, Fulllife - a premium French streetwear brand designed for a global community of gamers, and to celebrate the love of play. They’ll be showcasing their Runeterra collection, with designs inspired by League of Legends’ most iconic regions.
We’ll also have our Riot Merch stand up and running, with an event-exclusive T-Shirt available to purchase to commemorate the 2023 LEC Season Finals in Montpellier.
**Meet the LEC teams:**
It wouldn’t be an LEC event without our amazing partner teams. A few of our teams will be joining us at the 2023 LEC Season Finals and hosting their own fan booths – and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a few of our players roaming the halls of the XPO!
*Team BDS*:
Fans will have the opportunity to challenge Team BDS’s LEC pros in a 2v2 Howling Abyss battle, shop exclusive Team BDS merch, and pick up free BDS goodies throughout both days of the XPO.
*G2 Esports*:
G2 Esports’ booth will be the home of 1v1s, where fans can take on content creators in a battle of mechanical dominance. They’ll also be selling G2 merch (and even doing the occasional giveaway!)
*Team Vitality*:
Do you dare to take on Team Vitality? With a series of challenges designed to test your mettle, including 1v1s against Team Vitality’s ambassadors, daring is the name of the game at their booth.
**Meet our LEC Partners:**
While we can’t give the game away just yet as to what they’ve got planned, we can’t wait to welcome our LEC partners to the LEC XPO .
We’ll be joined by LG, who’ll offer fans the true LEC pro player experience with a chance to play on LG’s high-performance monitors. After you’ve worked up a hunger slaying your enemies in HD on the Summoners’ Rift, why not head on over and take a break at the KitKat booth, where we’ll be handing out exclusive LEC limited edition KitKats.
We’ll also be joined by Red Bull, Kia, and Mastercard – and we’ll be revealing more about their activations in the coming weeks.
**Riot Games Talent:**
Love the LEC? Think you’ve got what it takes to be part of the team that helps bring it to life?
We’ll be on site all weekend to give you the lowdown on what it’s like to be part of the team at Riot EMEA. We’ll be offering CV advice, interview tips, and information on EMEA internships and current vacancies in our EMEA offices – so if you want to learn what it’s like to work for an industry-leading gaming and esports company, make sure to stop by!
That’s all we can reveal for now – but fear not, because we’ve got plenty more up our sleeves for the LEC XPO, including a few special guests that we’ll be revealing in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes out on our [socials][2] and at [lolesports.com][3] for more information in the lead up to the Season Finals, and make sure you tune into our Summer Split playoffs to find out which teams will be battling it out on the Sud de France Arena stage.
