It’s that time of year again… Worlds 2022 is fast approaching and it’s time to put your LoL Esports knowledge to the test with Pick’Em! Pick'Em is a game of predictions and upsets: make your picks for which teams will win and lose, earn points, and fight your way to the top of the Global Leaderboard! Don’t go alone - custom leaderboards let you join up and compete against all of your friends. And as always, check out the Celebrity Leaderboard to see how your picks measure up against some of the biggest personalities in the scene.
**HOW TO PLAY**
Please note, Worlds 2022 Pick'Em is available to play in all regions except for Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic (“DNR”), Luhansk People’s Republic (“LNR”), Sudan, Venezuela, Syria, China, Quebec, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, or any other region where this offer is void; and requires a valid Riot Account and a Summoner Name to play and receive rewards. Please note that eligibility for prizes and rewards may vary in different regions due to local regulations.
**THE CRYSTAL BALL GROWS LARGER FOR 2022**
The Crystal Ball is back and bigger than ever with a whole new way to earn points and rewards! After a successful debut, this year’s Crystal Ball will challenge you to dive even deeper into this upcoming Worlds meta, stretching your brain past previously unimaginable limits. Here’s how it works:
- 20 Worlds prediction questions are OPEN NOW to make picks for one week prior to the start of Worlds with Play-Ins at 1:15 PM PT on September 29.
- Lock in your picks before the window closes because The Coin will not help you by making any missed Crystal Ball picks.
- Come back after the World Final to see how you scored and earn rewards based on your performance! Crystal Ball offers an entirely new way to earn rewards as its points and rewards are separate from traditional Pick'Em.
**TRADITIONAL PICK’EM TIMING**
**Play-Ins**
For the first time in Pick’Em history, Play-In Stage matches will be available to predict starting with the Play-Ins Knockout Stage BO5s. With not much time between Play-Ins stages, the pressure will be on to lock your picks!
- Come back after matches conclude on October 2 to make picks for the two Bo5s being played on October 3.
- Come back after matches conclude on October 3 to make picks for the final two Play-In Bo5s being played on October 4.
**Group Stage**
For the Group Stage, it’s up to you to correctly predict the order that teams will finish in each group. Do you think Cloud9 will stomp through their group? Go ahead and drag and drop them above everyone else. The choice is yours. Group Stage will be open for picks after Play-Ins conclude on October 4 until the start of Group Stage matches at 2:15 PM PT on October 7.
**Knockout Stage**
Once the Group Stage has finished, you'll be able to pick the winners for matches at each step of the way throughout the Knockout Stage -- and ultimately settle on who you think will take home the 2022 World Championship title. Check back after the Group Stage wraps up to make your predictions for the Quarterfinals and beyond.
- Quarterfinals will be open for picks after Group Stage concludes on October 16 until the start of Quarterfinals at 2:15 PM PT on October 20.
- Semifinals will be open for picks after Quarterfinals conclude on October 23 until the start of Semifinals at 2:15 PM PT on October 29.
- Finals will be open for picks after Semifinals conclude on October 30 until the start of Finals at 5:15 PM PT on November 5.
**THE COIN IS BACK**
The Coin returns for Worlds 2022 with a few changes. Too busy to pick or forgot to lock in a stage? The Coin will be there to back you up! The Coin makes random selections for players who miss a pick stage, so they can always join late and let the RNG gods decide for them. Any points earned by The Coin in this manner will take a small deduction. **Note: The Coin will not make selections for any missed Crystal Ball picks.**
- **New this year:** The Coin generates a random selection for each use of The Coin by the player. If you want to channel the power of The Coin without going AFK and missing a stage, you can now choose to leave the fate of your pick or group ranking up to The Coin - but beware, if you flip The Coin to make your pick, you won't be able to change it later! The upside: there is no point deduction for any points earned by The Coin this way.
**SCORING**
*Crystal Ball points*: Scoring for Crystal Ball predictions will take place after the World Final concludes. All points earned for correct picks will be on a separate leaderboard than traditional Pick'Em points.
*Play-In Stage points*: Correct predictions for Play-Ins Knockout stage picks each award 5 points.
*Group Stage points*: You'll earn 2 points for each team correctly picked to advance to Quarterfinals, as well as an additional 3 points each for placing them in the right order. Each correct pick for 3rd and 4th place gets you 2 points. Get the whole group in perfect order and you get an extra 2 points for the maximum score per group -- 16 points.
*Knockout Stage points*: Each correct pick during Quarterfinals awards 5 points. Correct picks during the Semifinals earn 10 points each. And successfully picking the Worlds Finals matchup nets you a massive 20 points!
**LEADERBOARDS GET AN UPDATE**
The tiered ranking system has been overhauled for 2022: we bid a fond farewell to some of our favorite legacy divisions (shoutout to my fellow Poros) and welcome in a new way to see a snapshot of how your score ranks against the global population. We will showcase the top 100 Summoners and their points on the leaderboard!
Also of note - you will be able to track the number of remaining potential Perfect Picks.
Creating a shared leaderboard for you and your Pick’Em friends is as easy as always: just click "Create a Leaderboard" and send the invite link that is generated to your friends! To share your leaderboard in view-only mode, click "Share" and send out the share link instead.
**REWARDS**
Players in eligible regions can compete for a variety of exciting rewards for participation and performance in BOTH traditional Pick'Em and Crystal Ball separately. Players can qualify for rewards based on the highest Tier category they reach in both the traditional Pick’Em and the Crystal Ball categories (note that the rewards are not cumulative and will be awarded based on the highest Tier reached in the respective category). All performance-based Tier rewards will be delivered on November 6 after the conclusion of Worlds. If you believe you qualified for a Pick’Em reward and did not receive credit for it by November 8, please contact Player Support.

**WORLDS 2022 PERFECT PICKS CACHE & TOP 5,000 REWARDS**
If you accomplish Perfect Picks, congratulations! Perfect Picks means that you were correct in 100% of match and group picks, and won the maximum amount of traditional Pick’Em points.
*Note: Perfect Picks are for the Group and Knockout Stages only and are independent of Crystal Ball results.*
Perfect Pickers will earn a cache containing all 6 Ultimate Skins: Pulsefire Ezreal, Spirit Guard Udyr, DJ Sona, Elementalist Lux, Gun Goddess Miss Fortune, and K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine.
To be eligible for this reward, your account must be at least level 20. If you already have those skins, you'll have the option to disenchant them into Essence. The Ultimate Skin Cache reward will be processed manually and distributed within one (1) week following the end of Worlds.
Last year there were zero Perfect Picks, so for 2022 we have added guaranteed rewards for the top 5,000 highest ranked scores in BOTH traditional Pick’Em and Crystal Ball. Players who rank in the top 5,000 in either Pick'Em or Crystal Ball will receive the 2022 Worlds Azir skin (as well as Azir if not already unlocked)!
