We’re proud to announce that European Masters is back for 2021, with the Spring edition starting on 29 March.
European Masters has long been the talent spotlight for Europe, showcasing the best rising stars that the region has to offer. Teams from across the European Regional Leagues will clash in this exciting competition, with many hopeful players seeking a chance to prove themselves worthy of moving up to the League of Legends European Championship.
There’s no doubt that European Masters has become known as a breeding ground for top-level talent. Between summer 2020 and spring 2021, 11 players graduated from ERLs to the LEC, after popping off throughout the tournament, including Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus (Rogue), Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié (Misfits Gaming), and Kristian “TynX” Østergaard Hansen (SK Gaming), just to name a few.
The tournament kicks off with the play-in stage on 29 March, followed by two group weeks of competition. The first group week starts on 14 April, with the second week starting on 20 April. Quarterfinals will begin on 27 April, with the semi-finals and finals following on 1 May.
We’re also excited to welcome a new main partner for 2021: protein snacks manufacturer Jack Link’s. This isn’t the brand’s first foray into esports – Jack Link’s linked up with Fnatic earlier this year, and now they’re looking to help players and fans across the entire region enter ‘beefmode’ with this new partnership.
Along with being the official protein snacks partner of the European Masters, Jack Link’s will also present the Baron Power Play segment of the broadcast, aiming to give viewers a buff both on and off the Rift.
“Competing online is fast-paced and requires gamers to be their optimum self to perform and win – whether you’re a beginner or you’re competing on the world stage,” says Jan Pieter Schretlen, Managing Director at Jack Link’s EMEA. “We are excited about the opportunity to support this active community reach its fullest potential, providing them with quality, protein-rich fuel needed to power through long and hard gaming sessions.”
