The NACL Summer Split features an updated format, new teams, a mix of returning Challengers and fresh faces, revenue sharing with teams, and even more ways for you to support the aspiring pro players. Whether you’re new to League of Legends esports or you’ve supported the developmental ecosystem for years, here’s everything you need to know about the NACL this Summer: **WHAT IS NACL AKA “LCS CHALLENGERS”?** The NACL [was introduced at the start of 2023][13] as the next iteration of North America’s developmental ecosystem. The NACL is operated by [Riot Games and our partner Rally Cry][14], an esports platform and tournament operator. The NA developmental ecosystem aims to cultivate aspiring talent and support future pro players to find a path to the next level of play. We’ve been regularly taking steps to open opportunities for the thriving grassroots community within the esports ecosystem in NA. Earlier this month, [we announced a few steps][15] that we’re taking to widen the competitive ecosystem and how we plan make it more sustainable including: - Making the NACL more geographically accessible by utilizing the Chicago server for competition; - Expanding competitive opportunities for the NA developmental system by delivering cross-region competition for the Americas (North America, Latin America, and Brazil) as early as 2024; - Committing to long-term sustainability by offering a sustainable platform for teams to invest in the developmental system. NACL partner revenue sharing will be implemented for the first time ever for all NACL teams. The NACL will feature 10 teams competing during the Summer Split showcasing a mix of returning and new teams. Among the returning teams in the lineup, NACL will feature 3 organizations from the LCS, the professional League of Legends league in North America: - **FlyQuest Challengers (FLYC)** - **Team Liquid Honda Challengers (TLC)** - **Evil Geniuses Challengers (EGC)** Greeting them are 3 titans of semi-pro, all of whom managed to fight to keep their spot in Spring: - **Cincinnati Fear (FEAR)** - **Wildcard (WC)** - **AOE Gold (AOE)** Two teams are joining the NACL through the NACL Spring Promotion Tournament: - **Maryville University (MU)**, the kings of collegiate; - **Supernova (SN)**, one of the longest running League esports organizations of all time. Rounding out the teams: - **Disguised (DSG)**, an esports organization backed by unrecognizable breakfast food and popular content creator, [Disguised Toast][17]; - **Team Fish Taco (TACO)**, an esports organization that’s always ready for Taco Tuesday.

Starting June 10, all NACL teams will battle for a $100,000 prize pool through a 6-week, double Round Robin of best-of-two matches, the results of which will determine who qualifies for Playoffs, as well as their seeding. The top 8 teams will advance to the NACL Playoffs which will take place over 3 weeks. During Playoffs, the games will transition to a double elimination bracket with a mix of best-of-three and best-of-five matches concluding with the LAN Finals at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles. To keep the competitive stakes high, the NACL Promotion Tournament will feature the bottom 2 teams from the NACL regular season and the top 4 teams from NACL Qualifiers, battling it out in a double elimination tournament for a chance to qualify for the NACL in 2024. **WHAT IS THE NACL SUMMER SCHEDULE?** - Regular Season - Week 1: June 10th - 12th
- Week 2: June 17th - 19th
- Week 3: June 24th - 26th
- Week 4: July 1st - 3rd
- Week 5: July 8th - 10th
- Week 6: July 15th - 17th
- Playoffs - Week 2: July 29th - August 1st
- Finals: August 9th
- Promotion Tournament - August 29th - September 3rd
**HOW DO I WATCH THE NACL?** All NACL games and coverage will be available on [Twitch.tv/LCS_Challengers][19] & [Twitch.tv/PathToLCS][20] with regular season games every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday starting at 1pm PT. As a commitment to unlocking additional sustainability for the NACL teams, we’re working with our NACL partner Rally Cry to implement revenue sharing with all 10 NACL teams starting this Summer. As part of these efforts, we’re enabling Twitch channel subscriptions for fans to show additional support and give them access to custom NACL Twitch channel emotes drawn by community LoL artist (and Jhin aficionado) [Moofie][21]. **HOW DO TEAMS QUALIFY FOR THE NACL?** Teams get a chance to fight for an NACL spot through the Promotion Tournament. In order to get to the Promotion Tournament, teams compete in the NACL Qualifiers, two tournaments featuring a 32-team Swiss Open Qualifier that filters the Top 16 teams into GSL groups, followed by a single elimination bracket for the Top 8. The NACL Qualifiers will award points based on placement as well as $12,500 in prize pool per Qualifier. The Qualifiers begin on June 10 with a similar format to the Spring Split. However, there is one major change - the winner of Qualifier 2 will directly qualify as the first Qualifier seed in the Promotion Tournament. Similar to Summer Split, the NACL Qualifiers will be broadcasted on Twitch on Saturday and Sundays starting at 10AM PT with select matches featured on [Twitch.tv/LCS_Challengers][22]. We’re also happy to announce that full broadcast coverage will be returning on [Twitch.tv/RallyCryOfficial][23] & [Twitch.tv/RallyCry2][24]. - Qualifier 1 - June 10th - July 9th
