From the Santa Monica Pier to the Jersey Shore, the LCS is gearing up for the best competitive League of Legends our region has to offer. Top teams like Cloud9, FlyQuest and Golden Guardians are poised to make a championship run, while the rest of the league retools for a playoff push, and a shot at international play. Amid all the familiar faces, LCS newcomer NRG is ready to make a splash with postseason seeds up for grabs.
With new rivalries, an invigorated broadcast and passionate fanbases ready to buoy their teams to victory, this split is shaping up to be a real scorcher. Keep it cool with us — this is **LCS Fresh!**

**PRUDENTIAL CENTER HOSTS THE LCS CHAMPIONSHIP IN NEW JERSEY**
This summer, the **LCS Championship, Delivered by Grubhub** will be held at **Prudential Center** in Newark, New Jersey on **August 19-20**. Home to the New Jersey Devils and Seton Hall Pirates, Prudential Center is one of the East Coast’s signature sporting venues, featuring top-tier competition and live entertainment. It’s a League of Legends esports celebration two years in the making, and we’re excited to finally host all our LCS fans in the tri-state area!
Tickets and *Priceless Experience* packages to the LCS Championship will become available first with a **24-hour presale** for **Mastercard holders** on **Wednesday, June 14 at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET**. The **general on-sale opens Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET**. Like previous LCS roadshows, attendees can expect a Fan Fest with team booths, partner activations, food trucks, and a few more surprises we’ll reveal closer to the event.
The LCS Championship is the culmination of the league’s Summer Split. The top eight teams from the regular season qualify for the playoffs, with the top two seeds receiving first round byes. The top three playoff teams will advance to the LCS Championship in New Jersey to crown a champion. And new this year — while all three Jersey-bound teams will have automatically qualified for Worlds in South Korea, the fourth place playoff team will earn a berth in the 2023 Worlds Qualifying Series against the LEC’s fourth place team to fill the tournament’s final Play-In Stage slot.

In a shift from Spring Split, weekday matches will be played on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, beginning each day at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET after a 30 minute pre-show. In-person fans can meet their favorite players during postgame meet-and-greets, purchase League of Legends-themed concessions, and visit the league’s official merch pop-up filled with branded apparel and accessories.
Outside of Opening Week, the LCS will hold two more special events at the Riot Games Arena during the Summer Split. On **Friday, June 30**, we’ll celebrate our LGBTQ+ community with a vibrant Pride Theme Day. And on **Thursday, July 20**, we’re planning a Super Secret Summer Surprise — more on that soon!
